Where does Thomas Fence Co install fences?
We install fences and gates in Maryland, including St. Mary’s, Charles and Calvert counties and other Maryland counties (call to check your area), Northern and Central Virginia including Fredericksburg, the Raleigh, NC area, and Myrtle Beach, SC and the Grand Strand. Our headquarters is at 21248 Whites Neck Rd in Bushwood, MD, and we have local locations in Raleigh and Myrtle Beach.
What types of fences do you install?
Vinyl privacy and picket fences, ornamental aluminum and steel fences, aluminum pool fences, wood privacy and picket fences, chain link fences, and gates.
How much does a new fence cost?
Every yard is different, but an average yard runs about $6,000–$7,000. The cost varies with fence type, length, terrain and site conditions, and our free detailed estimate gives you the exact price.
What happens after I ask for an estimate?
We follow the same four steps on every job, which we call the Thomas Timeline. 1) Free Consultation: we come out, measure, show you samples and give you a written quote. 2) Contract & Secure: you sign and place a deposit, typically one-third (1/3) of the job total, to lock in your materials and spot on the schedule. 3) Permits & Prep: we handle the permit paperwork, fill out and submit your HOA approval forms if you ask and call 811 to mark underground utilities. 4) Expert Installation: our crew builds your fence, cleans up and does a final walkthrough with you.
Do you handle permits and HOA approval?
Yes. Permits are part of our Permits & Prep step: we find out what your town or county requires and pull the permit when one is needed. If you ask, we’ll also fill out and submit your HOA approval forms for you, including the drawing and spec sheet your HOA asks for.
How long does it take to get a fence installed?
Most home fences take 1 to 3 days to build once we start. We typically install about 2 weeks after your permit and HOA approval come through. We’ll give you a date when you sign.
What warranty do you offer?
You get the manufacturer’s warranty on the materials plus our workmanship warranty on the installation, which runs 1 to 5 years depending on the job. If something we built isn’t right, call us and we’ll come back and fix it.
Is Thomas Fence Co the same as other companies named Thomas Fence?
No. We’re Thomas Fence Company (J. Thomas Fence LLC), headquartered in Bushwood, Maryland, with locations in Raleigh, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. We’re not connected to the Thomas Fence companies in Ohio, New York or Arkansas.
